The 校园 Police Department’s primary responsibility is to provide for the safety and protection of our 学生, 工作人员及访客. We are the primary law enforcement agency on campus and our officers have full police officer powers of arrest (ILCS 110, 805年法案, 证券交易委员会. 42.1). All of our officers have received extensive training in administration of justice classes and additionally must complete a number of state-mandated courses.

Our highest priority is to provide for the protection and safety of 学生, 员工和访客到我们的校园. To this end, we utilize a variety of innovative ideas to accomplish this objective.

作为学院的执法机构, our officers wear distinctive uniforms and patrol in marked vehicles. 校园警察积极参与社区治安工作.  This program is designed to partner with our community members in both crime prevention and investigations. Our officers regularly meet with 学生 and staff to identify needs or concerns. 校园 Police officers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

校园 police provide specialized training for 学生 in physical assault prevention. Additionally, the 校园 Police offer the Run, Hide, Fight active shooter response training. 校园 crime statistics associated with the federal government’s student-right-to-know laws can be found in the 年度保安及消防安全报告. All statistics are reported annually to the federal government and are published for the review of our community.
